I knew that the new ones have a plastic base. My broken one has a brown wood base and a snowman in it. I saw one with a Santa in it, but I didn't know if it was made by Pleasant Company or not. Since some of you have one with Santa I can now pursue the one I saw on ebay.

Do either of you who have the one with Santa know what year it is? I would love to see a picture from one of the old catalogs with it in it.

I was devastated when it was broken. We hosted our Bible Study last Wedneday and I had just put the girls into their Christmas finery. One of the families has a 5 year girl and a 2 year old boy, so I was watching them closely, but neither one of them touched a thing. It was broken by another family's son who is 11 and in the same class as one of my daughters. I didn't even know that he had picked it up. I'm just hoping that I will be able to replace it.

Does anybody happen to know someone who can repair snow globes?
